A thicker, sag-resistant 2:1 non-blushing epoxy built for filling, vertical laminating and gluing.

Size
Hardener

FLAG stands for Filling, Laminating And Gluing — a fair summary of what this resin is built to do. Where MAS Low Vis is formulated to soak in, FLAG is formulated to stay put.

A thicker resin for vertical and overhead work

MAS FLAG Thick Resin holds a thicker bond line than our Low Vis resin, giving it better sag resistance on vertical or inclined surfaces. That makes it the better choice for gluing joints, laminating non-horizontal surfaces, and any job where you need the epoxy to stay in place rather than run.

Non-blushing for less labour

Like MAS Low Vis, FLAG is part of the wax-free, non-blushing 2:1 system, cured at the same simple 2:1 ratio by volume with fast, medium or slow hardener. There's no amine wax to clean off between coats, which means less labour and the option to apply a further coat or lamination while the epoxy is still in its green stage. Read more about why that's an advantage in our piece on amine blush.

A strong base for fillers

FLAG's higher viscosity makes it an excellent base for thickened compounds. Mixed with MAS Epoxy Colloidal Silica Filler it forms a high-strength structural adhesive, and combined with MAS Epoxy T-Cell (Cellulose Fibres) it creates a smooth, sandable filleting paste — ideal for stitch-and-glue construction and general gap filling.

Blend with Low Vis for a custom mix

FLAG and MAS Low Vis Resin are fully compatible and can be blended together in any proportion, letting you dial the viscosity in between the two for a specific application.

FAQs

What does FLAG stand for?

Filling, Laminating And Gluing — the three jobs this resin is specifically formulated to do well.

Why would I choose FLAG over MAS Low Vis?

FLAG is thicker and more sag-resistant, so it stays in place on vertical or overhead surfaces rather than running. Low Vis is better when you want the resin to soak into cloth or timber.

When is it sandable?

FLAG Resin is next-day sandable when cured at 60°F (15.5°C) and higher with Medium hardener.

Can FLAG be used as an adhesive?

Yes — mixed with Colloidal Silica it forms a high-strength structural adhesive; mixed with T-Cell it creates a smooth, sandable filleting paste.
